BIO

Jhanay (Jay) Abrams is the founder of Fundletics.com, a platform that focuses on providing fundraising
resources and strategies for athletics programs. She graduated from Central Connecticut State
University with a Bachelor's Degree in Marketing in 2009. As a four-year member, three-year captain, of
CCSU’s Women’s Basketball team (Division I), Abrams (formerly Harris) was named to the Northeast
Conference All-Rookie Team in 2005. Shortly after graduation, Jay was hired by the NBA’s Brooklyn NETS
as an Inside Sales Account Manager, eventually moving up to Group Sales. As the team transitioned
from New Jersey to Brooklyn, she managed the graphic design and interactive team as a Marketing
Assistant. She served as a project manager for the NETS Chamber of Commerce, which generated
business opportunities for NETS Corporate Sponsors. In 2012, Jay was selected to be the cover story for
the April issue of Black Enterprise Magazine. She accepted a position in higher education in 2013 at Pace
University, where she also holds a Master's degree in Public Administration. Her position at Pace
involved managing athletics alumni events and assisting in fundraising initiatives for the Athletics
Department. During her tenure, the Setters Club (the fundraising arm of the athletics department) saw
an increase of 83 percent in revenue. In 2016, Jay accepted a position as Fairfield University’s
Development Manager. She oversaw and implemented the fundraising strategy for 20 varsity and 18
club sports through a portfolio of 275 prospects. She focused on marketing, solicitations, stewardship,
mailings, telethons, giving days and fundraising events. Currently, she works as an Associate Director of
Annual Fund and Reunion Programs at NYU Law, and is a member of the Board of Directors of Nagle
Apartments Corp. in Manhattan, New York.
