Aaron T. Tyson

Visionary Companies Group was established in 2016 by Aaron Tyson, a graduate of Delaware State University. During his early college years, Tyson understood the importance of laying a foundation for his career, and began by securing a Game Operations Internship with the Philadelphia Soul in 2011. This opportunity allowed Tyson to further secure his passion for sports and their impact.

His dedication was recognized in 2012, as he was announced a Scholarship Recipient for the First Annual MLB Diversity Business Summit. This recognition led to an opportunity for Tyson to work for the Philadelphia Phillies, where some of his responsibilities included selling individual and multiple ticket packages, assisting with game operations, instructing youth programs and supporting community outreach initiatives. Working with the Philadelphia Phillies, provided Tyson with the foundation to further his professional portfolio.

In 2014, he interned in the Media Relations Department for the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC). As an intern, Tyson helped to facilitate the 2014 MEAC Basketball Press Conference, which consisted of constructing press releases and managing stat distribution.Upon graduating from Delaware State University, Tyson worked with the New York Giants Public Relations Department during the 2014 season. By the spring of 2014, Tyson had established the foundation he imagined for his career, and received his Bachelor of Science in Sports Management.

The desire to gain more experience led Tyson to working with the NFL Public Relations Staff, during the 2015 NFL Scouting Combine, 2015 Draft, and Superbowl XLIX. Later that year, he joined the National Football League’s New York Office where he served as a Project Assistant for the Commissioner's Staff. After three months in that position, he joined the NFL’s Player Engagement Department, which allowed him to manage the department website, social media platforms, and aide in coordinating player programs, such as the NFL-NCAA Coaches Academy, Personal Finance Bootcamp, and the Broadcast Bootcamp to assist current and former players with their career transitions.

After his time with the NFL, Tyson had the honor of working with the Jefferson Awards Foundation. There he assisted with programs geared towards highlighting high school students and organizations that were making a social impact in their communities, such as LEAD360 and Students In Action.

To understand further the social impact sports had on a global scale during his career in sports, Tyson received an Executive Certification in Sports Philanthropy from George Washington University. Shortly after, Tyson started the Hope For Success Project which donates professional attire and hygiene products to individuals in temporary housing searching for employment.

With Visionary Companies Group, Tyson plans to use his connections and resources in sports to make a difference in the lives of the individuals he serves through building meaningful long-term relationships.
